Luke Littler is set to parade the famous Sid Waddell Trophy at his beloved Old Trafford, the hallowed turf of Manchester United.
Littler will do what Stephen Bunting dreamed of doing again if he would've won the biggest title in the sport. According to The Sun, club officials have already been in contact trying to find out when is best for him to hold the trophy aloft in front of the fans.
The best option perhaps would be the home clash against Brighton. Albeit it is the day after he gets home from the Bahrain Darts Masters on January 19.
Albeit such is the demands not only of darts as the new season fully starts and also the short shelf life that perhaps the title gleams in terms of showing it off in front of the fans. Strike while the iron is hot so to speak and he will hope to do just that.
He spoke about the potential of doing it after he won the World title with Harry Maguire among others sending him messages and posting him on their stories. The country has been engulfed with darting fever due to the teen sensation and it has also hit his favourite football team it seems.
“Obviously, I’d love to take it there," said Littler after winning the PDC World Darts Championship.
“If they allow me to, then I am sure I will go to Old Trafford. I saw Michael Smith did it with the world title when he went to St Helens rugby league club.”
Been a mad few days but wanna say a huge thank you. never had so many messages off people & grateful for every one🙏🏼 wouldn’t be where I am without the support I’ve had especially from my family, management & sponsors so getting to share moments like these with them means a lot❤️ pic.twitter.com/qwlPHaVUcS
