Martin Schindler was stranded in the third round of the PDC World Darts Championship. Although he started his match against Scott Williams strongly with an average of 100 and a double rate of 55 per cent, he had to recognise Shaggy's superiority after a close contest with a tight final score of 4-3.

"I definitely know that there are a lot of positives to take from the game," Schindler opened the post-match interview with Elmar Paulke on DAZN.
The Wall initially led 2-0 in sets, but then his opponent came into the match and stepped on the gas. The Strausberger also felt the pressure: "I didn't really feel like I could catch my breath. There was pepper in it from the front until the very last."

"I didn't get straight into the third set, but the scoring was really good after that and there were always a few key points, i.e. key moments, throughout the match, which I think cost me the game," said Schindler, looking back on what happened. This was also reflected in the fact that the German's average dropped slightly from the start of the third set to 95 points and, above all, that his previously good double rate dropped to 39 per cent.
Nevertheless, the German was not dissatisfied with his match. "It was a pretty decent performance from start to finish and on other days a match like that is enough. Today it just wasn't enough," he said.

"Tomorrow the sun will rise again," he added optimistically and with a smile on his face, making it clear that he is well aware of the performance he has shown both in this match and at the World Darts Championship in general.
