The tributes continue to pour in after the sudden passing of
Kyle Anderson earlier this week on Tuesday with
Ron Meulenkamp one player to praise 'The Original'.
Meulenkamp was surprised by the sad news like everyone else.
"I found out through a group chat with friends. In it, someone asked: 'Is it true that Kyle Anderson has died?'. Pretty soon I realised the news was true. Because he was in Australia, you didn't experience everything directly and then suddenly you hear this. It is really sad," Meulenkamp said to Sportnieuws.nl.
Joker
The 32-year-old Dutchman knew Anderson quite well. "Every time I was in England we talked. He always made jokes, always very relaxed. One moment Kyle would give you a compliment, and the next moment he would wind you up again. He was also a very open person, you could always go to him."
"When throwing, he would always do the craziest things, then he would throw another amazing finish like only he could," says Meulenkamp. "For the rest we just talked about daily life. You know, man talk. In short: you just shared a lot with each other when you were on the road."
Great loss
Meulenkamp remembers Anderson as someone with a big heart and a lot of love for darts.
"Kyle had a hard time leaving home, but he stayed in England to give them a better life. That's what made him the person he was. Always a smile, I never saw him grumpy. It will be a great loss to the darts world."
