Geert Nentjes will not participate in the PDC
Super Series in Milton Keynes this week. The Dutchman was supposed to make the travel to the United Kingdom by boat on Sunday evening, but he was denied access to the boat.
Travelers who are taking the boat to England are required to provide a negative PCR test or antigen test, which has been taken up to 72 hours before departure. Nentjes was told in the harbor that he had done the wrong test. The test was negative, but not valid to gain access to the boat, he told Dutch website Dartsnieuws.
Booking a new boat trip and joining the Super Series on Wednesday was not an option for Nentjes. The earliest opportunity for a new Covid-19 test was Monday, while he should have arrived in Milton Keynes on that day for another round of testing. All participating players in the PDC Super Series had to undergo another test on Monday before they could participate in the tournaments.
