Newcastle United footballers pay visit to Premier League Darts, much to Eddie Howe's surprise

A number of familiar faces were spotted in the crowd Thursday night during the fourth round of Premier League Darts play in Newcastle. Some players from English club Newcastle United decided to pay a visit.

Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff, Harvey Barnes, Mark Gillespie, Paul Dummett, Elliot Anderson and Matt Targett were spotted by Sky Sports cameras. However, the seven had not sought permission from their Newcastle boss, Eddie Howe, he revealed in his press conference a day later.

"No I didn't know that no. You're going to have to give me a list of names" the English manager laughed when asked about the incident by journalists ahead of Newcastle's match with Arsenal this weekend. "Hopefully it wasn't too much of a late night."

Whether it indeed did not get late is not known. However, Howe will no doubt be pleased that the players did not have beer on their tables. Instead, only bottles of water were in sight on the table of the players on Thursday night.
