Last week the World Grand Prix was held in Leicester. The final victory went to Mike De Decker, who defeated Luke Humphries 6-4 in the final to add 120,000 pounds to his account. Money was also raised for charity.
BoyleSports was the main sponsor of the World Grand Prix and donated 10,000 pounds to Bipolar UK after raising the total raised after a week of darts at the World Grand Prix.
The gambling company had pledged a donation of 20 pounds for every double 20 thrown during the tournament, and De Decker's winning double in Sunday's final was appropriately the 365th time "tops" were hit during the week.
That meant a total of 7,300 pounds had been raised when the Belgian celebrated his first major title by defeating Luke Humphries 6-4 in a thrilling final, but BoyleSports announced after the event that they would increase the pot further, bringing the total donation to 10,000.

Not entirely surprisingly, it was James Wade, who threw the highest number of double 20s during the World Grand Prix, with a whopping 40 during his run to the quarterfinals. The 41-year-old Englishman was then asked to choose a charity and he chose Bipolar UK, for which he is an ambassador.
Sharon McHugh, Head of PR and Sponsorship at BoyleSports said, "We are proud to support Bipolar UK with this £10,000 donation, helping to advance their vital work in supporting individuals affected by the condition.
"Mental health is an issue that touches many lives and we hope this contribution furthers their mission to make a meaningful impact on awareness and support."
James Wade, two-time World Grand Prix winner, said, "This is a fantastic gesture by BoyleSports and on behalf of Bipolar UK I'd like to thank them for their generosity.
"This donation will help to make a difference with the valuable work they do and the support that they provide to people with bipolar.
"I'd have loved to have won the BoyleSports World Grand Prix last week, but it’s a nice way to remember the tournament that my double 20s have been able to help in this way."
