Paul Nicholson believes that for those who claim 20+ PDC titles, they should be rewarded and floated the idea around on the recent Super Series stream about a lifetime Tour Card for those who do so.
Nicholson was commentating on Gerwyn Price's final with Damon Heta and discussed the idea alongside discussing Price reaching this mark. What do you think, should this happen in darts?
"If you win 20 events on the PGA Tour, you get a lifetime Tour Card. Imagine if they had that in darts, if you get 20 titles you won't ever have to go to Q-School you will always have a position on tour," said Nicholson on the PDC stream of Super Series 6 Day One.
Stupid idea from someone who will never get anywhere near 20 titles.
Theoretically though someone could win 20+ Pro tour titles but not a major. Is someone with 20+ non major titles deserving of a permanent tour card than someone who may have won a World title, a Matchplay and a UK Open and perhaps not enough other titles to amount to 20?
