ON THIS DAY IN 2017: Van Gerwen and Van Barneveld win World Cup of Darts

June was usually the month in which the World Cup of Darts was played. However due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the event was postponed until November last year and this time around, it will not take place until September.

Exactly four years ago, the Netherlands won the third of a total of four World Cup titles. The team then consisted of Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld who also joined forces in 2014 and 2018 for victory.
