The PDC Super Series has been a major success but according to Chief Executive, Matt Porter, it could be the end of the blocks system going forward.
Porter said in an interview with Online Darts that a myriad of reasons including the Premier League mean that it may not be possible to run the events like they have been during the pandemic.

"We will go back to a hybrid really because during the Premier League, it's difficult to do them and you can't turn round to the Premier League guys and say you can't play on the tour," he said to Online Darts.
"We're going to look to move to more mid weeks, if not entirely next year then going forward after that because ultimately the players are professional so that will free up weekends if we did want to do more European Tour or World Series events.
"It won't be like the four five day blocks as such but there will be some slightly longer and don't forget as well when you add in European Tour qualifying, it gives you an extra day's activity.
