Michael Smith can call himself the first frontrunner in the 2024 Premier League Darts. 'Bullyboy' managed to capture the first weekly title on Thursday night in Cardiff.
He started the evening with a 6-5 victory over Michael van Gerwen, after which he also defeated Luke Littler 6-5. He then beat crowd favorite Gerwyn Price in front of his own crowd 6-2.
Price, as the losing finalist, does, of course, take second place. Littler and Rob Cross managed to reach the semifinals. In addition to Van Gerwen, Peter Wright, Nathan Aspinall and Luke Humphries also started the Premier League Darts with a defeat.
