Gerwyn Price is through to the fifth round at the UK Open which begins shortly at Butlins, Minehead where he will face 'Rapid' Ricky Evans.
Price saw off Danny Noppert last night in an impressive display which saw the World Number Three claim a 10-3 victory with 71 percent on the doubles from 'The Iceman'. He reacted to victory afterwards.
"It was nice to play well. I think I was pretty dominant in all areas, it was a little bit of a rush; I was watching the draw and I'm on first. I played alright and I'm happy to be through to the next round," said Price to
Phill Barrs.
"I've played in this tournament before and I've been in this situation before so I've prepared in the room. I was practising, I had the board up in my room and had two hours of practice before hand."
"If I would have lost it was because Danny was the better player but I was more than prepared for this game but it was a bit of a rush at the end.
"I never dwell on defeats, I hate losing and sometimes kick up a fuss but 24 hours and it's gone. It's good to get back on the board and get a win."
