Jonny Clayton will begin the defence of his Premier League Darts title under a new format and also new dartboards albeit one he practices on due to his RedDragon sponsorship.
But for Clayton like many, he is looking forward to doing the touring aspect which is something he will experience for the first time on his second appearance.
"I can't wait for this because it's back to normal. It's a fantastic feeling to be involved and part of it again. Obviously I'm trying to defend my trophy but it's back to different cities, different stadiums and I'm looking forward to this," said Clayton to Live Darts.
"Lifting that trophy and the crowd had only just come back in, I'll never forget that."
On returning to home soil, he is savouring the thought of being announced as defending champion.
"Back in Wales in front of my home crowd. I cannot wait for this atmosphere.
"It's going to be electric, I hope it's the best one ever"
A title he wants to keep hold of with of course ambitions to have continued success now he has joined the darting elite.
"I don't want to be a one-hit wonder. I just want to carry on. The defence of this would be a great place to start."
