Rob Cross takes on teenage sensation Luke Littler in the semifinals of the World Darts Championship on Tuesday night. For the 2018 world champion, only winning counts this week at Alexandra Palace.
“I’d expect nothing less. And if I didn't I'm going to be very upset," he told SportsBoom. ''So yeah, go in there to win it. My game's in a really good place. I'm enjoying the game and [I’ve] got nothing to lose.”

In the same interview, Cross also talked about his superstitions. “I don't like people touching my stuff,” he explains. “I try and switch and I end up back with the old faithfuls that I've won everything with, so I suppose that's a superstition and it's in my head.”
Finally, Cross talked about the influence of social media. 'Voltage' sees the social platforms as a big plus for the sport. “I have someone cover mine because I have a bit of a potty mouth. I think it's good to get content out and put yourself out there,” Cross said.
"Some of the comments that you get ain't very nice, but that's life. Everyone's got an opinion and we just have to deal with that. It's a fantastic thing for the game because you look at the growth and darts is bigger than ever. It just keeps booming every single year, it's brilliant for the game, it's brilliant for everyone.”
