"He's box office!" - Glen Durrant weighs in on the Luke Littler Premier League debate

Glen Durrant is making a good impression with his World Darts Championship commentary on Sky Sports. Unsurprisingly, the former Premier League Darts winner has been especially impressed with Luke Littler.

"He is the headline and why not, let's celebrate success. If you're good enough you're old enough. He's just been a sensation, playing with no fear," Durrant says admiringly of the 16-year-old in conversation with Online Darts. "I've followed him for three or four years now. We knew he was special, but then to be able to have that transition on to a stage as well..."

Consequently.of his impressive performances, the calls for Littler to recieve an invitation to Premier League Darts are getting louder and louder. Would Durrant pick the teenager in his Premier League Darts lineup?

"Yeah I've got my eight players and yes I would," Durrant answers firmly. "Because he's box office! He'll sell tickets out, go and ask the public if they want to see him?"

Also in Durrant's Premier League lineup is Peter Wright. "I know he's not playing well. He should do what I didn't do though, when I got picked the second time. I knew I wasn't right but you get good money for playing in the Premier League and it was a year and a half salary of being a housing manager just for coming last. Peter Wright won't want to do what I did and finish on zero points and probably end your career by making that decision, but I think I think he deserves to be in it."
