Joyce reached the final of the ninth Players Championship tournament by defeating compatriot Ritchie Edhouse. Relentless lost a 2-0 lead, but still managed to make it 4-2. He did not give that break away and after eleven legs Joyce put a 7-4 final score on the scoreboard.
Smith is one win away from his first title of the season as he swept Krzysztof Ratajski 7-4. 'Bullyboy' trailed 2-4 after falling behind 2-1, but after winning five legs in a row he decided the match 7-4.
