All eyes will be on
Beau Greaves this evening as the 18-year-old sensation takes to the Alexandra Palace for the first time at the 2022/23 PDC
World Darts Championship.
Greaves will face William O'Connor with a big chance awaiting the winner in Gabriel Clemens. Hype will surround the WDF World Champion who could become the second female player to win in the showpiece tournament.
But O'Connor who is known for his battling qualities on the oche won't be fazed by the hype surrounding Greaves and could prove the spoiler.
While this tie will likely take top billing on the coverage,
Michael Smith reached the final last year and heads in as the number four seed and a major champion finally winning the Grand Slam of Darts last month.
Those not pointing at Michael van Gerwen for the win see 'Bully Boy' as continuing to open up the floodgates to major glory.
The other ties also see a strong session as
Rowby-John Rodriguez faces Filipino ace, Lourence Ilagan and
Florian Hempel who famously beat Dimitri van den Bergh last year returns to face Keegan Brown, who returned to the winners' circle after a long drought on the ProTour earlier this year.
