Sherrock looks ahead to PDC Women's Series after return to big stage at World Series of Darts Finals

Fallon Sherrock returned to the big stage at the World Series of Darts Finals and despite a comeback defeat to Jeff Smith in Salzburg, the Queen of the Palace showed some quality darts especially to start the tie.

Speaking recently, Sherrock said that it was great to be back in front of a crowd but that she did struggle due to the lack of match practice.

"It was really nice, especially to hear the support because obviously it's been very quiet over the last six months. So having the crowd behind me really geared up my game and I was really chuffed with it," said Sherrock to Online Darts.

"As soon as the glasses came down, it was like right now you're playing again, now you've got to focus and you've got to play how you can."

"As soon as the break come, it was trying to adjust it again because obviously it was the first time I had played properly since lockdown so I was kind of getting into the game. Then going off at the break, it was like oh I've got to restart again and unfortunately I wasn't able to restart but it was all experience."

"Obviously having the match practice is really important and it definitely put into perspective how important it was because obviously I needed that to try and close the game off and I hadn't experienced that for six months, I was struggling."

For Sherrock, she will now head to the Challenge Tour next weekend and with the truncated nature of the tour, the possibility is there for her to claim a Tour Card outright if she performs well: "I mean there's always that possibility and I'm never going to knock that out of the equation because it's always possible but I'm just going to go, play my game, see how I get on."

But as well as that, the Women's Series is also on the horizon which she is looking forward to: "It's a massive deal for us, we needed more opportunities and I couldn't think of a better opportunity to come up. We can now prove to everyone what we can do. I can't wait to get back and see everyone because I've actually missed everyone, it'll be great to get back into playing again."
