Fallon Sherrock as expected will be one of the leading favourites and talking points ahead of the inaugural PDC Women's World Matchplay taking place in Blackpool on July 24.
Sherrock is looking forward to the chance to play at the Winter Gardens and sees the gap closing at the very top of the Women's game.
"It's always been an ambition for anyone to play on the Winter Gardens stage. Now, we've got the opportunity to play on it and we're all excited. All eight women are excited for it," said Sherrock on Sky Sports News.
"With having the
Women's Series and having all of these women competing in these competitions, you can see the level closing in now."
Among those involved are Chloe O'Brien and Katie Sheldon with Sherrock playing the latter and 'The Queen of the Palace' said there's a no fear attitude with the rising stars.
"With them being younger, they have no fear. There's nothing to lose and they're just going to go out there and play as they can," Sherrock said.
"We've got so much pressure behind us, but we've got to learn to ignore that as well, just play how we can and show what us women can do.
"These players have experience as well," Sherrock added. "We've been playing with them for many years now and they're creeping up on us."
For the Milton Keynes thrower as well, she has been on the World Series as of late with under-par performances losing to Leonard Gates and Maik Kuivenhoven early on in New York and Amsterdam and she believes she just needs to focus on her game instead of the publicity that comes with these appearances.
"My performances are slowly getting better and they're slowly to getting where I want to be," she said.
"As my own personal thing, I've just got to take away all of the publicity and stuff and just focus on my game.
"My form is getting where I want it to now and give me another couple of weeks and I'll hopefully be able to show again what I can do."
But without looking too far ahead, a spot at the World Championship and a return to the Alexandra Palace where she made her moniker and darting history is in the back of her mind.
"That's what I want to do, I want to get back there this year. It's so special, there are so many memories and I always play really well there.
"I know that I didn't do well last time but this time, third time lucky, who knows what's going to happen... if I can get there."
