Smith fights off resurgent Barry, set to face Heta in German Darts Grand Prix semi-finals

Michael Smith and Damon Heta are the first through to tonight's German Darts Grand Prix semi-finals after seeing off Keane Barry and Danny Noppert respectively on Monday evening in Munich.
Smith started off proceedings and saw off Barry 6-4 in a match which featured two ton-plus finishes apiece and also a comeback which was thwarted by 'Bully Boy'.
Initially, Smith went 4-1 up and was seemingly cruising towards the semi-finals but Barry went back to within a leg at 5-4 with an 82 checkout. But this was swatted away with Smith hitting a 104 checkout to move through.
He is joined by Heta who again impressed in seeing off Noppert in a 6-3 win. It was a solid display as 'The Heat' melted 'The Freeze' with a 96 average, three 180's and a high checkout of 111 en route.
