We are through the first two rounds of action at this year's World Grand Prix and ahead of Thursday night's action on the Emerald Isle we look back at a statistics comparison between the last two years.

Last year saw the average at this point at 84.92 and it has gone down just over one point to 83.33 showing a downturn despite many saying that the standard has now risen.

In terms of double in, it has also got worse with it going down to 36.97 percent this year compared to 40.30 percent 12 months ago.

Double out is the only stat which has got better this time around with 37.77 percent this year with it down at 35.94 percent last time out.

This shows the unpredictable nature of the World Grand Prix with the statistics fluctuating despite players getting better and like always, even the biggest names can get unstuck at the CityWest.
