Stefan Bellmont, Felix Schiertz, Stefaan Henderck, Filip Sebesta, Vitezslav Sedlak, Arno Merk, Matthias Ehlers and Anton Ostlund secured a spot in the final stage of the 2024 PDC European Q-School on Monday.
Henderyck ensured Belgian success by winning in the final round against the experienced John Michael (5-4). Dutchmen Jeffrey Bekema and Gilbert van der Meijden managed to reach the final round, but they lost to Vitezslav Sedlak (5-4) and Arno Merk (5-4), respectively.
During the first phase of the Q-School, no PDC Tour Cards are handed out yet. Players are trying to qualify for the final phase, which is scheduled from January 11 to 14. Players who lost their Tour Card after last season and the top eight players from the Challenge Tour and Development Tour in 2023 are directly admitted to the final stage.
Qualification for the final stage is possible by reaching the last eight of one of the three tournaments. If that fails, players with enough wins during the first three days can still qualify for the final stage of the European Q-School via the rankings.
