The 32 participants for the
Grand Slam of Darts have been announced. On Friday, the final eight players were added to the field via the qualifying tournament for Tour Card holders.
The Grand Slam of Darts is the only ranking tournament on the PDC calendar that starts in a group stage. The 32 players are divided into eight groups of four players each. The top two players from each group then advance to the knockout phase.
The pot
draw is based on the position of the players in the world rankings. The first eight players have been given seeded status and have already been divided among the eight groups. The PDC will draw the remaining players in the pools by a draw on Monday, Nov. 6. An exact time of the draw has not yet been announced.
