The nineteenth edition of the UK Open begins on Friday and ahead of the so called FA Cup of Darts, DartsNews looks back on special moments and matches from the history of this tournament.
Just like three years ago, the UK Open will be played behind closed doors but for a different reason this time around.
It was forced to be played without a crowd due to a heavy snow storm which affected the Butlins Minehead resort.
Players resorted to playing with hoodies and jackets on due to the cold but while that was the case last time around, this time it is solely due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Corey Cadby at the start of his short but fruitful PDC spell reached the final where he encountered Gary Anderson with the latter claiming his first UK Open in an 11-7 win.
