Reyes and Hempel withdraw from UK Open due to family reasons

Ahead of the UK Open, two players originally entered have not made the trip to the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes. Cristo Reyes and Florian Hempel will not take their place in the draw.

Reyes has been absent for some time from the PDC Tour and looked to potentially return this weekend but that is not the case.

Ryan Joyce as a result will receive a bye from his Third Round tie so will not be in action until tomorrow night when the top 32 enter the fray.

While Jitse van der Wal who was set to face Florian Hempel in Round One will head straight into the second round.

They join Wesley Harms, Robert Marijanovic, Daniel Larsson, Michael Unterbuncher, Darren Penhall and Boris Krcmar who originally withdrew.

This meant that their first round opponents like Van der Wal will also receive a first round bye.
