Van Barneveld achieved highest finishing percentage in group stage of Premier League Darts over last decade

The league phase of the 2023 Premier League Darts is complete. Jonny Clayton secured himself a spot in the playoffs, partly due to his 44% checkout success. This pales in comparison however to the best-recorded checkout percentage of the last 10 years.
That record is held by the Dutch legend, Raymond van Barneveld who fired in an incredibly impressive 51% success rate on his checkouts a decade ago. The last two years of Premier League action has seen James Wade as the most impressive finisher, perhaps unsurprisingly.
Prior to that, Peter Wright flourished and Michael van Gerwen was at the peak of his powers. For five straight years the Dutchman has the best checkout percentage in the league.
