Van Barneveld hit an average of 98 and 50% on the doubles as he won through 6-3 to continue his farewell tour onto tonight at least in what is his first TV appearance in a while.
Cross who hasn’t been in the greatest form as of late showed glimmers during victory over Jamie Hughes. A 6-4 win with a 101 average, three 180s and 55% on the doubles sealed the deal for ‘Voltage’.
Over on Stage 2, Michael Smith only averaged 84 but had enough to edge out Brendan Dolan and Mervyn King produced a classy display to defeat Dave Chisnall who has been in good form as of late.
