Van Barneveld out at first hurdle during Day One at PDC Super Series 3

Raymond van Barneveld is another big name to head out on Day One of PDC Super Series 3 at the first hurdle after losing out 6-3 against Ryan Meikle.

Van Barneveld started the match well with a 114 finish, but then saw Meikle take three legs in a row.

In the seventh leg, Barney was broken again, this time by a 12-darter that made it 5-2. Van Barneveld then threw a 12-darter himself, but then saw Meikle see out the match with a 74 finish.

For Van Barneveld, it was his first game since he collapsed during the second PDC Super Series last month. It occurred as he was marking another game and after medical treatment in the venue, he did not have to go to hospital.
