Raymond van Barneveld claimed his first Pro Tour win since his PDC return on the second day of the PDC Super Series. Barney produced a stunning comeback to battle past Ryan Murray (6-5).
Van Barneveld lost in the first round 6-5 to Stephen Bunting on Thursday after trailing 5-1. He became behind against Murray as well, as the Scotsman led 5-2 after seven legs.
The 53-year-old Dutchman hit a 16-darter and 13-dart leg to break back twice and had the throw in the decider. He started with a 180, before securing the victory with a 15-darter.
Van Barenveld will face Danny Noppert in the second round, after Noppert booked a convincing 6-1 victory over Luke Humphries.
