Van den Bergh 'relieved' after victory over Suzuki to keep Grand Slam of Darts hopes alive

Van den Bergh said afterwards that he thinks players like Suzuki need to be recognised for what they are and that is a quality dart player and that he had to work hard to claim the victory over the Miracle.

'The Dreammaker' added that he believes he got lucky as she wasn't on her game and that he just did his job and he added for fans to watch for the World Championship to see the Belgian really back to his best.

'I'm feeling relieved, when you're playing the Women's World Champion you need to respect that you need to recognise that. I know she can play, I've seen her game. I've watched her and I just know she can play. She made Gerwyn sweat, he needed to work hard for the game, he need to work hard for the win,' said Van den Bergh to LiveDarts.

'I think today I got lucky because I think she in my eyes she wasn't on her game she normally can, I just did my job.'
