Despite his bulging trophy cabinet and position in the world rankings, Michael Van Gerwen thinks he is not the most talented on the PDC circuit.

According to the Dutchman, players like Michael Smith have more talent. "But they don't use it the way I do. You have to use your head and that is very important."

Van Gerwen also talked about his PDC Summer Series final against Jose de Sousa. The Portuguese ace has not been around on the tour for very long but shone last year with multiple titles and for Van Gerwen, he should not be underestimated.

"I don't know what to expect from him. He just throws his darts and he's a fantastic player. It's not the first time he's reached a final."
