Van Veen has relationship with sister of fellow darter: "He still gets teased about that sometimes"

Gian van Veen has not only been doing well at the darts board lately, he is also happy in private life.

Indeed, Van Veen has been in a relationship for more than six years with Kyana Frauenfelder, the sister of fellow darter Levy Frauenfelder, who has also been in action on the Challenge Tour and Development Tour in the past and now the Women's Series.

"Everyone still teases him about that sometimes," Van Veen laughs. "But fortunately he can take that."

"My girlfriend supports me with everything and means a lot to me. She also regularly travels with me to tournaments abroad and is thus my great support and anchor," Van Veen concluded.

He also referenced her after he won the European Championship in 2025. "I said to my girlfriend whenever I won my first stage title that I wouldn't cry, but here we are. I'm crying. It's such a phenomenal feeling." She also took her first steps playing the Women's Series in 2025.
