The crowd at the World Matchplay is known for the usually great atmosphere. This was once again proven on Thursday night as Nathan Aspinall made his walk-on prior to his quarter-final against Chris Dobey.
To the sounds of the karaoke classic, The Killers' song Mr. Brightside, Aspinall made his way to the stage. The thousands of fans in the Winter Gardens sang the song passionately, even after the music was turned off. As Aspinall conducted from the stage, the capacity crowd carried on singing, serenading the Englishman with a spine-tingling acapella version of the song.
