On a recent documentary on the Premier League, Michael van Gerwen revealed that he played a prank on Joe Cullen amid his Premier League axe and recalled previously doing it when other players were left out.
"Maybe we can get one of the players who was left out on the phone for the camera," quipped Van Gerwen.
"He's tried ringing Joe three times," said Smith. "He said I'm not in the mood for this s***, beep beep (hangs up phone)," added Van Gerwen.
"Did you really try ringing him," responded Aspinall. "Of course I tried ringing him, years ago when Anderson, Lewis and Van Barneveld were left out, we did a photo like wish you was there and sent it online," Van Gerwen concluded.
