Simon Whitlock has reached the second round at the Players Championship Finals after a fine comeback against Jeffrey de Zwaan.
The Australian was broken twice in the first three legs, but leveled the match in the sixth leg after hitting 148 and 80 checkouts. Whitlock won five legs on the spin, before De Zwaan forced a leg-decider. The Wizard kicked off the last leg with a 140-score and finished the match in the style with a superb 110 finish.
Chris Dobey moved into the last 32 after seeing off Cristo Reyes 6-1. Ricky Evans edged out Steve Beaton 6-5, while Keegan Brown defeated Andy Boulton 6-3.
