Peter Wright is into the semi-finals of the PDC World Darts Championship after a thrilling clash with Callan Rydz which went all the way in another Ally Pally classic.
"I think I made it difficult for myself. But I thought it was a cracking game, played fantastic darts and he's one for the future," said Wright post match.
"I thought I'm not doing much wrong here, just carry on what I'm doing and he'll let me in because of experience. That's what I relied on."
A lot has been made about the hostile crowd but it's not something that is an issue for Wright.
"I've been through the booing before, it doesn't bother me at all, it's just me releasing darts at the right time and it when it got close. The heat in the room would rise and the atmosphere, my darts wouldn't drop."
He also wasn't shocked about Rydz playing well with a defeat against him in Gibraltar being case and point.
"I've been watching his game, I know what he can do. I played him in Gibraltar, I had 108 average and lost against him. I know what Callan can do, I was more thinking which darts to use never mind what he was doing."
"I would have been gutted to lose the match. I was thinking how many chances have I given you to finally get the one."
