Gates continues to impress on World Seniors Darts Tour: "Whoever plays against me, they're gonna have to bring something to the table"

Leonard Gates has won another World Seniors Darts Tour tournament. Having already won the Champion of Champions earlier this year, the American has now emerged victorious at the World Seniors Darts Masters in Yeovil.

After his victory in the final over Richie Howson, Gates spoke to Online Darts. "There probably won't be any sleep for a while. Adrenaline is flowing, I'm soaking up the win and just the experience of it all," says the always smiling American.

Although he came into the tournament as one of the favourites for the win, Gates by no means had it easy, having to defy 90+ averages from Mark Dudbridge, Chris Mason and Robert Thornton just to reach the final. "Each tournament you gotta expect these guys to play their best," he says. "Because they're going for the the title."

Now, after taking back-to-back Seniors titles, Gates will be one of the favourites for victory at the next World Seniors Darts Championship. "They know when I go to play that I'm going to bring my a-game. So whoever plays against me they're gonna have to bring something to the table," Gates says defiantly. "I'm gonna show up and I'm gonna compete. I'm gonna give my all each and every tournament I play in and have fun doing it."
