Jeffrey de Zwaan claimed his first PDC title of his career yesterday avenging his two final losses this year both to Gary Anderson. He overcame an in-form Jonny Clayton to win the title who smashed Michael van Gerwen earlier on in the day.

There was added pressure on the Black Cobra with the final going to a deciding leg but he had the throw in this leg making it an easier task. De Zwaan spoke afterwards and lauded the victory as 'wonderful'; he also admitted that the two losses spurred him on throughout knowing he didn't want that losing feeling again.
“I feel wonderful, it means so much to me,” said the Dutchman.
“I’ve lost two finals so far this year so I was going into this game thinking ‘I don’t want to lose in the final again’.
“It’s an amazing feeling to win my first ever PDC title, I can’t put my feelings into words.”
