De Zwaan joins World Matchplay race after second ProTour final of 2018

Jeffrey de Zwaan has joined the race for the World Matchplay after reaching his second ProTour final of the year on Sunday. The Black Cobra has had a brilliant start to the year and could be making his Blackpool debut this summer.

He sits 22nd in the ProTour Order of Merit currently with the top 16 qualifying for the Matchplay. Both de Zwaan and Jamie Caven surged into contention after great weekends with ‘Jabba’ just behind him in 23rd.
They remain only around 4-5,000 behind the players currently in so if they continue to accrue money like they have done this past weekend it could mean Caven and De Zwaan claim spots.
In terms of the Order of Merit, Darren Webster who has closed in on the top 16 is around 8,000 higher than Benito van de Pas who is in 17th.
