De Zwaan moves into provisional World Matchplay qualification

Jeffrey de Zwaan like recent winners on the PDC tour for the first time in Max Hopp and Mickey Mansell has not only claimed the ranking money and a first title but potential further opportunities for major tournaments.

Despite it being at an early stage, 'The Black Cobra' could be one of a few debutants at the Winter Gardens and this is at the expense of another potential debutant in Ron Meulenkamp.
Alongside De Zwaan, Jelle Klaasen another Dutchman has now moved into the last tentative ProTour space spot for the tournament despite not being in the best form so far this year. This though could reflect some late runs he enjoyed before his surgery last year.
The likes of Corey Cadby and Krzysztof Ratajski who many expected to qualify especially for the former are now outside of the top 16 and in the case of Cadby you have to feel that unless he returns to the UK to play some tournaments before the cutoff that he will miss out.
