Gurney eases through in straight sets victory over Smith

Daryl Gurney is through to the third round at the PDC World Darts Championship after ‘Superchin’ saw off Ross Smith in what was a straight forward win for the two time major champion.

Gurney went two nil up in the early going and was only troubled in the first set by ‘Smudger’. In this set, Smith came from behind to draw level with the Northern Irishman but it was the latter who claimed the set.
