Michael van Gerwen secured back to back Euro Tour wins defeating Steve Beaton in Maastricht and Rob Cross in Mannheim, two players firmly on the up and ahead of the Champions League this weekend, Mighty Mike had a few words about specifically Cross and also how easy it is for him to throw the world class darts that he does.
"People like Rob are trying 200 percent and always push me to the end, but that makes me practice more, focus more and try my hardest," said Van Gerwen. "People always think it's easy and that I'm like a robot. I'm not a robot, I have to work really hard. "I think it wasn't as dominant as last week. I lost less legs so it looks easier - but it wasn't. "I was struggling a little bit, not feeling like myself and you always want to have a little bit more, and I produced that in the final. It was a fantastic moment because Rob Cross was playing really well. "I was putting the pressure on him constantly and in the end I think the pressure was a bit too much for him and I took advantage with a couple of great legs."
