Michael van Gerwen has completed an imperious treble in Glasgow at the
World Series of Darts Finals. 'Mighty' won last weekend in Hasselt at the European Championship where he claimed his fourth straight title there and has done one less but a similar feat in Glasgow.
It wasn't as close as many would have hoped with the World Number One winning 11-6 against Anderson who had the crowd's backing. He had a 103.3 average which is not exactly MVG at his best but his scoring and doubling at spells including 61% on the doubles brought the title home once again.
Attention for MVG turns to another major next weekend when BDO and
PDC go head to head at the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton and he will be after 3 in a row at the Wolves Civic with Anderson and some of the world's best from both sides of the code trying to stop him.
