Chuck Puleo did seemingly the unthinkable at CDC Main Event 10 by clinching the World Championship qualification spot in the final event.
Puleo knew before hand that he needed a win and some good fortune and that occurred.
A win over Jim Widmayer in the final 6-4 as well as wins over Gary Mawson and Nick Linberg claimed him the title.
It was a third CDC tour win for him and he has shown how good he is at points this year including in the World Series Qualifiers where he just missed out.
Jim Long also secured qualification with the Canadian spot going down to the wire. Gary Mawson was his only other real contender and he had to win the event.
The event winner saw him off in the semi-finals though to ease the fears and secure him qualification.
