World Championship Order of Merit latest - Rob Cross set for #2 seed

With just over three months to go until the Ally Pally action begins, Snakebite sits third in the World Championship Order of Merit. The table, which accounts for PDC earnings and money that is due to be removed from consideration, shows Rob Cross in second spot. The PDC world champion defends £715,500, based on minimum expected earnings from the TV events he is set to qualify for. That puts him narrowly ahead of Wright, who would tentatively be on £655,000. The Scot remains the world number two as things stand.
PDC World Matchplay champion Gary Anderson will almost certainly be the fourth seed. Michael van Gerwen's top spot remains untroubled. As it stands, Robert Thornton and Justin Pipe will be seeds at the Ally Pally. They're under serious pressure from a chasing pack which includes James Wilson and Chris Dobey. The current ProTour standings suggest that Gabriel Clemens could make a World Championship debut in December. So too could Ryan Joyce, Nathan Aspinall and Scott Taylor.
Former Ally Pally semi-finalist Mark Webster is currently clinging on to a World Championship berth. The likes of Terry Jenkins and one-time finalist Kirk Shepherd are in line to miss out as things stand.
The top 32 in the Order of Merit will qualify for the World Championship automatically. So too will the remaining top 32 based on the ProTour Order of Merit. 32 other qualifiers will earn an invite, including a guaranteed two women - minimum - for the first time.
