GSOD18 Mensur Suljovic

Mensur Suljovic overcame a struggle as he battled past Rob Cross in the second round of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton. 'The Gentle' reached the quarter-finals after defeating the world champion 10-7.

Both players have not shown their A-game for a couple weeks and that was the problem again in this game. The pace was low, there was not many energy in the match and the level from both players was not great as well. Cross missed many doubles, while Suljovic didn't score well enough.
Cross came back from a 5-1, 7-4 and 8-6 deficit, but missed three chances to level the match in the 16th leg. The Austrian hit a 15-dart leg to move one leg away from victory and then claimed the win to set-up a clash with Dimitri van den Bergh on Friday.
