Alan Norris 9darter

So far, only one nine-dart finish has been landed at the Players Championship finals. And that came two years ago, as Alan Norris struck gold in Minehead. Taking on Michael Smith, 'Chuck' followed two 180s with a 141 to make history.

He also claimed a cool £35,000 cash prize in the process. Norris averaged a superb 106.24, aided by the nine-dart finish, in a 6-4 win over Smith. He followed that up by beating Mick McGowan, before Darren Webster ended his Players Championship dream.
Unfortunately, the milestone moment was not caught live, as Norris was playing on board two. This year, the PDC are live-streaming the board two action on their website. So if more history is made, it won't be missed.
Will we see second nine-darter in Minehead this year?
