He also claimed a cool £35,000 cash prize in the process. Norris averaged a superb 106.24, aided by the
nine-dart finish, in a 6-4 win over Smith. He followed that up by beating Mick McGowan, before Darren Webster ended his Players Championship dream.
Unfortunately, the milestone moment was not caught live, as Norris was playing on board two. This year, the
PDC are live-streaming the
board two action on their website. So if more history is made, it won't be missed.
