Van Gerwen admits he can ‘do a lot better’ despite commanding win over Price

Michael van Gerwen secured a commanding 7-3 victory over Gerwyn Price last night in the Premier League in Nottingham. This shot ‘Mighty Mike’ to the top of the table just ahead of Michael Smith on leg difference.
Despite the commanding win, the World Number One admitted he can do a lot better and played just okay against the Welshman.
Van Gerwen continued by saying he wants to raise his game to stay at the top as he feels good.
"I think I played okay but I know I can do a lot better," said Van Gerwen. "I did the right things at the right moments and got the two points, which was the most important thing.
"I want to raise my game now for the rest of the Premier League, but I'm at the top of the table and that's where I want to be. I feel good."

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
