Teenage sensation
Luke Littler proved way too strong for 'The Machine Gun', Jermaine Wattimena to reach the semi-finals on his
European Tour debut at the
Belgian Darts Open.
However, with an average of 102.74, Wattimena played another good match. Littler managed to add to that, however, notching a monthly average of no less than 110.06 per turn.
Littler broke the Dutchman already in the first leg with a 10-darter and then made it 2-0 with a 160 finish. The Englishman then made it 4-1 with two 11-darters. A 14-darter took Littler to 5-1, before Wattimena added another leg with a 13-darter. Littler then decided the game with a 16-darter.
In the semifinals, Littler will take on
Ricardo Pietreczko. In a mediocre match, the German was 6-2 too strong for Jonny Clayton. Pietreczko threw only 82 average, compared to 80 for Clayton.
