Anderson after easing past Noppert: 'Danny didn't start the way he did in his first round and I wanted to step in on his mistakes'

Gary Anderson is through to the Quarter-Finals at the World Grand Prix after seeing off Danny Noppert in an exceptional win.

Anderson breezed past Noppert despite affording him opportunities to claim both the second and third sets. It was the first though that made it exceptional with 'The Flying Scotsman' averaging just shy of 110.

"The first set was great but I dipped off during the second, and I got over the winning line eventually," said Anderson.

"Danny didn't start the way he did in his first round game and I wanted to step in on his mistakes. We both threw a few legs away but I got the job done."
