Gary Anderson nearly lost out in the first round of the Nordic Darts Masters surviving a scare against Swedish standout, Daniel Larsson who went 5-3 up before 'The Flying Scotsman' surged back to win 6-5.
"I've done the worst thing you can do start with 180. It did go down hill but he stuck in. A few legs I made a right mess at doubles and he was nicking them so it was going to be what it was going to be but towards the end started to hit a few more treble 20's," said Anderson to Online Darts.
"Upstairs I was fantastic hitting everything. Come here can't hit jack squat. I don't know what it is."
But unlike last week, Anderson has his darts which he lost last week before playing at Madison Square Garden so had to improvise. "I have my darts. They've not been pinched, I've not lost them. Made sure and I have an extra set which I did in America but I don't know if I left them in the taxi or in my pocket."
It will be a sparse schedule of sorts for Anderson in the coming weeks with no World Cup of Darts as he stood aside once more to allow John Henderson to defend with Peter Wright and he says he will cheer them on if his schedule allows and believes they have a good shot.
"I might see what's on if I'm not working. Hendo will get his head on for this and we all know how well Peter plays so I think they've got a good shout to retain it."
